Problem: A Wide Range of Services and the Risk of Complexity
Members of the pension fund needed to manage many distinct services — regulation lookups, health payment details, referral processes, creating e-appointments, and past appointment records — from a single point. The core challenge was to present this broad range of member services, which could easily scatter into complex screens and confusing menus, in an extremely simple and reassuring way, without causing confusion.
Solution & Approach
Rather than creating a language from scratch, the work was built on Garanti BBVA's mature, established corporate identity and existing UI Kit. Aligning with the existing design system instead of trying to reinvent the visual language allowed all focus and energy to be directed toward "user flows" and "clarity." Throughout this process, close hands-on collaboration was carried out with the Garanti Technology UI team.
Key Features and Design Decisions
The entire design process was managed independently end to end while staying in full alignment with the standards of the institutional system.
- Clear Information Architecture: Potentially complex services such as regulation information, health payments, referrals, and e-appointments were separated into clear, well-categorized, and easily accessible paths.
- Corporate Alignment and Trust: Guided by the bank's strong corporate identity and UI standards, a user-friendly interface was built that conveys a sense of "trust" and "institutional integrity" to members.
- Accessibility and Focus: Clean screen flows were designed that take the user directly to their goal, without the breadth of services turning into clutter in the interface.
Outcome
In close collaboration with Garanti Technology and with full fidelity to the BBVA design language, a reliable and easy-to-use member portal was successfully delivered — one where members can effortlessly handle their daily tasks, from booking an e-appointment to viewing past health and payment records.
