A closed intranet corporate web portal designed to increase operational efficiency by centralizing time management, leave, expense, and internal communication workflows for the Kafein team.

Project Purpose
To let company employees manage daily operations smoothly — timesheets, leave requests, expense tracking, and internal announcements. Built as a closed system (intranet) for company staff only, this portal was designed to digitize internal processes and speed up data entry with employee experience at the center.
Research and Identified Problem
During my many years inside the organization, I had the chance to observe users' (employees') daily practices directly. UX research supported by Hotjar data and direct staff feedback showed that the old design could not respond quickly to user needs, the dense information architecture created cognitive load, and daily tasks took unnecessary time.
Design Strategy and Improvements
I approached the system from a Design Engineer perspective and rebuilt the information architecture from the ground up. Ineffective large banner areas on the homepage were optimized and the visibility of the most-used tools (online transactions) was increased. To reduce visual noise, the interface was simplified, a clear UI Guideline was created, and readability was maximized with Google Icons. At the same time, workflows were supported by AI assistants such as Gemini, while Figma Dev Mode integration bridged design and development so the system could be handed off to engineering accurately.
