Application Definition
MWGuard is a comprehensive cybersecurity software suite designed to protect organizations' mobile and web applications against external threats. This portal, where critical data and threat metrics are managed from a single center, was designed end to end to accelerate the operational workflows of security specialists (SecOps).
Identified Problem
In cybersecurity, where speed and analytical attention are vital, the interface must work entirely intuitively. However, Hotjar analyses and direct user feedback revealed visual inconsistencies in the existing interface, cognitive load caused by dense data flows, and serious navigation difficulties inside the platform due to a complex sidebar structure.
Revision Process
Approaching the system with a Design Engineer mindset, I started a deep UX/UI revision process rather than a superficial cosmetic interface refresh. My main focus was to let users reach the critical data they need with minimum clicks and to ensure overall platform consistency.
Design Process
In light of direct user feedback, I completely rebuilt the information architecture. I simplified the sidebar and subheadings that created clutter. To prevent users from getting lost inside the platform, I integrated breadcrumb navigation, clear pagination structures, readable page titles, and standardized action buttons (Google Icons). I brought this new structure together under a clear UI Guideline (Design System) and delivered a complete system to the engineering team through Figma Dev Mode.
